CAD/PDM Services
Investing in the right software solution is only half the battle. Proper implementation is the other. Our implementation services enable you to maximize the benefit of the software you own by allowing you to leverage the tools to their fullest. Next Level’s implementation professionals can help you develop the optimum implementation plan so you can rapidly incorporate new technology.
Process Assessment/Evaluation
Next Level implementation specialists will spend a day or two onsite for the purpose of understanding your current processes, existing tools, working environment and implementation goals. A comprehensive report will be developed which summarizes our evaluation and provides recommendations for moving forward.
Implementation Planning
Leveraging the information from the evaluation, Next Level’s implementation specialists will work with you to establish a detailed implementation plan. The plan will include details such as hardware usage, software setup, implementation responsibilities, and project timelines.
Deployment
Putting the plan into action, Next Level works with you to complete the implementation on time and within budget. Each task is carried out and may include software installation, configuration, data loading, and any customizations.
Training and Maintenance
Ensuring successful adoption of the technology we represent is vital. Next Level’s support team will follow up with the client to verify implementation success and to provide the necessary support as part of our standard maintenance program and additional training and support offerings.
Process Assessment/Evaluation
Next Level understands that
every company works differently - they have different standards, processes
and procedures. Depending on the organization, processes can vary
extensively from design team to design team. To address the needs of
organizations that are looking to improve their productivity, using their
current processes and workflow, Next Level will conduct process audits
before recommending a training or consulting plan.
Typically, a process audit will follow the "day in the life" of a designer or team to understand the steps taken to complete a project. It is through the process audit, that our consultants and trainers are able to ascertain the areas in which we can assist in improving the process with training or mentoring on the design automation solutions. By focusing on your process and teaching the users how to take advantage of the functionality of the design automation tools, your users will come away from the learning experience with a renewed appreciation for the tools, as well as productivity tips to expedite the processes. Other benefits:
To establish ROI or justification for investing in technologies and services.
Evaluate the utilization of technology you currently own but may not be fully leveraging.
Planning for the implementation of PLM, PDM, CAD or other technology.
Assess user skill sets, training requirements and to develop a customized training strategy.

Quickstart Implementation - SolidWorks CAD
Our extensive SolidWorks professionals are equipped with the tools to deploy SolidWorks in as little as 1 day. This value-added service ensures consistency and adherence to company standards from day one
The goal of developing and implementing CAD standards is to provide CAD operators with an organized and consistent method to create, retrieve, share, maintain and evaluate your SolidWorks data. When you implement CAD Standards you eliminate all the redundant, tedious work of setting up the CAD environment. In turn, you free-up the CAD designer's time to focus on product development.
Program includes:
Software Installation/deployment
Drawing format creation (title blocks, sizes, etc.)
Default part and assembly templates
Default properties
Library/standard part configuration and setup
Data Migration
This service supports the migration of legacy CAD and/or PDM data from one system to another. Our CAD data migration expertise is in migrating AutoCAD, Pro/Engineer, Inventor or other data into SolidWorks. Our PDM data conversions involve migrating metadata from older, out-dated systems into newer PDM/PLM architectures built around relational database technology.
Our PDM data migration expertise includes:
No PDM to SolidWorks Enterprise PDM
SolidWorks Workgroup PDM to SolidWorks Enterprise PDM
Pro/Intralink to SolidWorks Enterprise PDM
Windchill to SolidWorks Enterprise PDM
Pro/PDM to Pro/Intralink or Windchill
Pro/Intralink to Windchill (Intralink or PDMLink)
Mentoring
Users may require assistance from time-to-time on specific design or engineering challenges. This may include overcoming a design or modeling challenge by utilizing aspects of the software that the team has not been trained on or has not yet used. These challenges are often encountered while trying to meet critical deadlines and a customized training or mentoring session may be required to overcome the challenge. Our highly trained and skilled specialists are available to support your team as needed.
Admin Support
Administrative support is essential for the successful deployment of CAD and PDM solutions. This can present a challenge for small to medium size businesses with minimal budget for hiring and training a designated CAD or PDM administrator. Next Level provides onsite or remote administrator support programs for assisting businesses with these challenges.
Training
Next Level takes great pride in the quality of our training program and in the skill sets of our Certified SolidWorks instructors. We know that anyone can pick up a manual and teach themselves how to use SolidWorks However, we believe that the additional knowledge, efficiency, and best practices gained from our experienced instructors during classroom training is of great value. We also believe that providing flexible training options is essential to meeting the needs of various organizations. Next Level provides regularly scheduled, basic and advanced training courses for all SolidWorks products including SolidWorks CAD, Enterprise PDM and Workgroup PDM, Simulation, and 3DVia.
